Joachim Gola, 60, of New Britain passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. He was the beloved husband of Eugenia (Surma) Gola for 38 years. Born in Poland, son of the late Artur and Teresa (Witula) Gola, he was a longtime New Britain resident and a member of Sacred Heart Church. He was employed by CT Tool & Manufacturing for many years. Joachim was a handyman and could fix everything. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Along with his wife, he leaves his three sons, Andrzej and his wife, Marta, of Berlin, Mariusz and his wife, Katarzyna, of Southington and Jacek of New Britain, and his three grandchildren, Mateusz, Liliana and Alexandra. He also leaves his brother, Marian Gola and his wife, Krystyna, and their children, Piotr and Michal, all of Poland and his sister-in-law, Helena Rewa and her husband, Marian, and their children, Richard Pawulski and his wife, Gosia, and their daughter, Amelka, Mark Pawulski, Kasia and her husband, Bartek, of New Britain and many close friends.

His funeral service will begin Monday, March 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
